Stopped by with a small group to "pre-game" on a Friday night. I ordered a classic margarita, which was essentially tequila with lemon juice, and the free chips and salsa. I'm not really one to complain about drinking straight tequila, but the drink wasn't really enjoyable - especially at $8.50 a piece. The chips come unsalted and the salsa is.... not my favorite. BRING YOUR OWN SALT here. All of the food needed it and there is none on the tables. One friend got a bright, bubbly Paloma that looked almost as good as it tasted. The other bought the 32 oz. Modelo and only stopped drinking it to ask for a straw. The service was alright, the waitress was bubbly and kind but seemed to forget we were there for most of the hour and a half.
Stopped in late on a week night and although they were near closing they kindly accommodated us & made us feel welcome. They have a really nice outdoor seating area so we opted to sit outside and enjoy the nice evening breeze. We quickly ordered double margaritas and the local favorite, chicken on a stick. The food and drinks came out fast and hit the spot! Fried chicken topped with a jalapeño. The dipping sauce that came with it was tasty. It cost us both $20 each . The margarita 9.50 , chicken 7.50 and they charged for an extra jalapeño that I didn't order and the dipping sauce. Didn't really appreciate that but considering it was near their closing time, I didn't complain. There's not many places that serve chicken on a stick outside of the city's annual fiesta so this is a good option if you're craving it !
On Mondays they have very intoxicating drink specials and an all you can eat taco deal with endless topping and nachos as well. It's inexpensive and when you think of how much you can eat for the price it's truly a great deal. They have chicken, beef and rice. They nachos are warm and very tasty as well as their homemade tortillas. I'll be going back every Monday just for this deal
I must say this place is unique. Very modern look with a hint of nature on the outside. The inside will definitely get your attention and offers several iconic religious images, very surreal. The drinks are unique and made with a twist of life to them, leaving a slight whimsy feeling. The service was great and the food well seasoned and presented nicely. The 32 oz. Goblet of beer is amazing, a bit of arm strength needed. Will be back.
Had brunch here on a Saturday and surprisingly not busy. I enjoyed all the greenery inside the restaurant and outside on the patio. The whole place a invokes a very green and chill vibe. The food menu was different everything from its description seemed like a must try. I got to taste the tres leches pancake with cream and strawberries. The pancake was drenched in rich, milky wonder. I haven't had anything like it. I also got to try the chicken and churros drizzled with some type of honey sauce. That too, was different in every magical way possible.
